President XT Casting

Released in 2024 as part of Pflueger's President XT system alongside matching reels and combos, this casting series serves the value-conscious bass angler who wants a presentable package without premium pricing. All five models are baitcasting, all XF action, and all MH power, a tight, technique-specific lineup instead of a broad versatile range. The XF action bias leans toward pitching, flipping, and reaction lures where a fast hook-set tip is advantageous.

Blanks use a 24/30-ton graphite blend, a cost-effective mix that provides baseline sensitivity with durability. Stainless steel guides with zirconium inserts handle braid without wear. Split-grip cork handles and a custom reel seat with exposed blank improve tactile feedback. Construction quality is mid-tier; outside the high-end build lane, but component choices (zirconium, cork) are appropriate for the price point. The 2-piece SKUs (PFLPXT66M-XFC2, PFLPXT70MH-XFC2) are travel-oriented duplicates of the 1-piece models.

Five models, all casting, two lengths (6'6" and 7'). Three one-piece and two two-piece variants, the series essentially gives anglers three action profiles (6'6" M, 7' M, 7' MH) with two available in travel/2-piece form. Power steps from 10–14 lb to 12–17 lb across the two power tiers. No spinning rods in this SKU set; the spinning variants are a separate series.
