The Road Runner STRUCTURE NXS is Nories's flagship bass rod lineup covering bottom-contact and structure-oriented techniques. The series spans from sub-6-foot finesse spinning sticks rated for 1.5-pound monofilament all the way to 7-foot-2 telescopic heavy hitters built for punching dense cover. The NXS designation indicates the current generation of the long-running Structure lineup, which has been refined through multiple iterations to balance sensitivity and power for structure fishing in Japanese reservoirs and rivers.
Four sub-categories exist within the series: Elite Spec spinning models with PE line compatibility for light swimjig and finesse presentations; standard baitcasting models covering Neko rig, drop shot, Texas rig, and Carolina rig; Solid Tip baitcasting models for subtle reaction presentations; and a dedicated spinning lineup from ultra-finesse Light-Light to PE-compatible Med-Light for heavier spinnerbaits on spinning gear. The 7-foot-2 telescopic baitcasters fold to 182 cm for transport while retaining full power.
Action ratings run from Moderate to Fast across the series, with Solid Tip models rated Solid Tip Fast or Solid Tip Extra Fast. Rod weights are unusually light for the power class, ranging from 80 g for a Light-Light finesse stick to 147 g for a 7-foot-2 Heavy. All NXS models are single-piece except the two telescopic 7-foot-2 variants. Prices range from ¥55,000 to ¥61,000.
