About Nories
Nories is a Japanese fishing tackle brand founded in 1993 by Hirotaka Noyama. Built around an obsession with bass fishing technique, the company developed the Road Runner series of baitcasting and spinning rods that became a reference point in Japanese bass fishing. Nories rods are known for their Variable Taper construction and purpose-built model lineup covering everything from finesse drop shot to heavy jungle flipping.
In parallel with its bass lineup, Nories operates the Trout Program under the trout.nories.com umbrella. Area trout series including Spike Arrow, escloser, and Ambitious CRAQUE address the precision requirements of managed stillwater fishing with ultralight lure weights and multi-piece pack rod designs. Both divisions share Nories's emphasis on matching rod action to a specific technique rather than building all-purpose tools.
