The Abu Garcia Vengeance is an entry-to-mid-tier freshwater bass rod made for recreational bass anglers who want reliable performance without a premium price commitment (MSRP $49.99–$107). The series covers both spinning and casting configurations for standard bass presentations, finesse spinning through heavier jig and flipping work, and is widely distributed through mass and specialty retail channels. Blanks are 24-ton intermediate modulus graphite, a common construction at this price tier that balances adequate sensitivity with reasonable durability under normal freshwater use.
Stainless steel guides throughout. Split-grip EVA handles provide grip durability and reduce weight slightly versus full-grip designs. A Texas-rigged hook keeper appears on all models. The series does not feature specialty constructions such as glass composites or high-end reel seats; it is a conventional graphite rod with accessible componentry. Reviews note it performs well for crankbait work on the moderate-action models and holds up to braid-to-fluorocarbon setups without notable failure. The 15-model lineup spans 6'6"–7'3" in both casting (9 models) and spinning (6 models).
Casting power runs from M through H; spinning from ML through MH. Most models carry F or XF action, only the VENCW70-5 (7' M MF) breaks from fast actions, likely intended as a crankbait or topwater casting option. Spinning models (VENS) pair ML through MH power with fast action across 6'6"–7', serving finesse through mid-weight applications. Several model pairs appear near-identical on paper, suggesting color-finish or retailer-exclusive variants.

A closer look at notable models.
The lightest spinning model on line weight (6–10 lb). At 6'9" ML/fast this is a finesse drop shot and ned rig rod, the most technique-specific spinning model in the lineup and the one where blank sensitivity matters most despite the lower price tier.
The sole MF-action casting model, the "W" likely denoting a swimbait or moderate-presentation application. At 7' M/MF, it handles crankbaits, bladed jigs, and topwater lures where a softer tip keeps fish on treble hooks through the retrieve and on the hook-set.
The longest and heaviest casting model at 7'3" H/fast. The 12–25 lb rating accommodates heavier fluorocarbon for flipping and pitching jigs to heavy cover or punching sparse mats, the heavy-cover top end of this entry-level series.
