About Molix
Molix is an Italian tackle company founded in 2006 and based in Molinella, in the province of Bologna. It operates under Pro Tackles S.r.l., with Stefano Sammarchi as CEO, and runs design, development, testing, and marketing from Italy. The company built its name on lures, hard baits, soft baits, jigs, and frogs, reaching the US bass market in 2010 through a signature line with Mike Iaconelli, and later added a full rod range developed and tested in Italy.
The rods are organized into three families. The flagship Fioretto line splits into Essence (All Round, Casting, Eging, Light Game, Shore Jigging, Travel, Trout Area), Speciale (Casting & Spinning, Saltwater, Saltwater Jack Fin, Trout Area), plus Selvatica, Trofeo, and X. The accessible Molix Outset line covers All Round, Casting, Eging, and Light Game. The predator and saltwater Skirmjan family runs the EVO models (Pike Hunter, Spinning & Casting) and the R models (Area Fishing, Predator Hunter, Saltwater).
The range spans JDM-style light-game, eging, shore-jigging, and area-trout disciplines alongside bass, pike, and saltwater predator fishing. Fioretto Essence blanks use the HMSHM differentiated-modulus carbon construction and Fuji guides with Corrosion Control treatment, positioning Molix as an Italian-designed alternative cross-shopped against Japanese technique-specific rods.
What Molix is known for
The flagship Fioretto Essence light-game and technique rods, the accessible Outset value line, and the Skirmjan predator and saltwater family (EVO and R). Construction centers on Molix's HMSHM carbon, made by combining and shielding differentiated-modulus carbon sheets for a gradual taper and torsional resistance, paired with Fuji guides carrying Corrosion Control treatment. Molix carries a lure heritage in hard baits, soft baits, jigs, and frogs that predates its rods, including a US bass-market entry with Mike Iaconelli. The rods are cross-shopped against Japanese-design light-game and eging brands and European predator-rod makers.
