About Zeck
Zeck Fishing GmbH was founded in 2013 by Carsten Zeck in Schiffweiler, Saarland. Zeck had built the catfish program at a German tackle wholesaler as product manager before leaving to start his own company, and the brand launched as a pure wels catfish outfit: set rods for bank fishing, vertical rods for boat work, and the terminal tackle around them. The catfish range remains the core of the catalog. Pro-Cat is the flagship set-rod family, running from the soft 300 g boat models to the 500 g Skyrock for big rivers, alongside Cat-Attack, Homezone, Buddy and The Stone on the bank and V-Stick, Belly-Stick and Evo Cat Vertic on the boat. A few years in, Zeck added a predator lure range that now outnumbers the catfish rods: the Momentum zander and pike family, the Barsch-Alarm perch program designed with Johannes Dietel, the UBS Baitjigger series from Uli Beyer, the ZANDER system rods of Sebastian Hänel, Troy travel rods and the Pike Stalker and Pike Trapper test-curve rods for static pike fishing. Blanks are carbon almost throughout, with Fuji reel seats and K-Concept style guide trains on the set rods. Zeck sells direct from the factory shop to Germany and its neighbours and through European dealers, under the line "Produkte vom Angler für Angler" (products by anglers for anglers).
What Zeck is known for
The best-known German catfish rod brand of its generation. Pro-Cat is the flagship: an Abspannen and buoy-rig set-rod family rated to 500 g in the Skyrock. V-Stick and Cat-Attack Vertic are the standard short vertical rods for boat catfishing, and The Stone carries a cult following on Italian big-fish waters. On the predator side the Momentum spin family and the Barsch-Alarm collaboration with Johannes Dietel are the entry points, with Uli Beyer's UBS Baitjigger covering big-bait zander and pike work.
