About Lumis
Lumis, trading as LMS Rods, is a Brazilian rod maker founded in September 2009 in Osasco, São Paulo, by the veteran angler Vicente José de Santana Neto with partners Eliseu Makarausky and Alexandre Coghi. The catalog is built around Brazilian sport fishing's three homes: rivers, salt water and the pesqueiro pay-lakes, and nearly every family ships in Carretilha (baitcasting) and Molinete (spinning) builds. The core lure families run from the Intense and Invokada all-rounders on Japanese Toray IM8 carbon through the Tunizza and Tunizza Pro tucunaré rods to the heavy Crazzy Eddy and Giants big-fish blanks; Crank and Power Carbon cover glass and composite duty, and dedicated pesqueiro versions of Intense, Invokada, Tunizza, Spirior and Infinity carry stronger backbones for tambaqui and pirarara. A jigging arm (Jig Zirata, Jigging Pro, Slow Jig, Vertical Jig) and a surf casting model take the range to salt. Specs are published per model with line class in pounds and lure weight in grams; guides and seats mix Hardloy and Fuji hardware by tier. Distribution is through Brazilian tackle dealers nationwide.
What Lumis is known for
One of Brazil's own rod houses, best known for baitcasting rods aimed at tucunaré (peacock bass), traíra and the pesqueiro pay-lake scene. The Intense on IM8 carbon is the flagship all-rounder, Tunizza Pro the tucunaré specialist, and the Crazzy Eddy Giants line the big-fish tool for pirarara and jaú. Almost every family pairs a Carretilha build with a Molinete twin, reflecting the Brazilian baitcasting preference. First Brazilian brand in this catalog.
