Valkein (stylized ValkeIN) is a Japanese trout-tackle company founded in December 2013 and based in Narita, Chiba. It operates under the tagline "Fishing Gear Factory, Japan Made" and is a member of the DUO group, the lure maker the two firms also co-develop with under the "Limitless Area" project. Representative director Eiichi Kikuchi sets the brand's editorial line around process over catch count, and the catalog is built specifically for trout: spoons, crankbaits and plugs, metal vibes, accessories, apparel, and rods.
The rod range splits across two disciplines, area (managed-pond) trout and native stream trout, and is led by the Dainsleif line of high-end, designer-specific models. Each Dainsleif variant is tuned by a named field angler or supervisor, so a single series fans out into characters built around one approach: Tsutomu Arakawa's Impact Solid models, Eiichi Kikuchi's Braise Rush set, Hirohito Yasushima's Rev revisions, plus models from Hiromi Aoki and Isao Seki.
