About Sawgrass Rods
Sawgrass Rods is a custom rod builder based in Dallas, Texas, that assembles bass and inshore saltwater rods in the United States. The catalog is organized around the BCS blank series plus two guide-designed signature lines. BCS1 Bass spans 15 models across multiple lengths, powers, and actions; BCS3 Inshore is built on NFC HM blanks with REC CeRecoil and Recoil guides chosen to resist salt, braid, and sand; and BCS5 Hybrid uses a Northfork Composites carbon-fiber and fiberglass composite blank with a parabolic action aimed at crankbaits and other treble-hook hard baits.
The Bois D'Arc Mag-Bass line sits above the BCS rods, built on NFC HM blanks with REC components and premium cork, and developed for bass fishing across Texas and the Gulf states. The Scott Null Tarpon series was designed with Texas Coast guide Captain Scott Null and is offered in eight models, two lengths, and two powers in casting and spinning, with double-foot REC Recoil guides, full EVA grips, and a Fuji Torzite tip-top.
Most rods can be ordered with a spiral-wrap guide layout as a custom build option. Sawgrass positions its rods as American-made performance tools and backs them with a limited lifetime warranty.
What Sawgrass Rods is known for
American-assembled carbon-fiber bass and inshore rods built on NFC (Northfork Composites) and composite blanks with REC, Seaguide, and Fuji components. The BCS1 Bass and BCS5 Hybrid cover freshwater technique work, BCS5 leaning on a parabolic glass/carbon blank for treble-hook hard baits. BCS3 Inshore and the guide-designed Scott Null Tarpon series target saltwater with corrosion-resistant Recoil guides. The Bois D'Arc Mag-Bass line is the higher-tier bass build. Spiral-wrap guide layouts are available as a custom option. Cross-shopped against builders like G. Loomis, St. Croix, and Dobyns.
