About Korum
Korum is the specialist-coarse brand of the Preston Innovations group, launched in the mid-2000s by David Preston alongside his match company and now part of Rather Outdoors with Preston Innovations, Avid Carp and Sonubaits. Under the tagline "Fish For Everything", the brand serves the general coarse and specimen angler targeting tench, barbel, chub, bream and carp on natural waters. It made its name with terminal-tackle firsts, Quickstops, Quick Change Beads and the flatbed Method feeder, plus the Accessory Chair and ITM luggage concepts. The current rod range is compact and role-driven: 3K Allrounder, Barbel and the three-tops-in-one Trilogy on a 3K carbon weave; the Limitless feeder family with K-Flex blanks, anti-frap casting guides and hollow-top Power models; Avon and Classic Avon test-curve rods; the Glide Power Float pair built for fixed spool or centrepin; and the Opportunist compact rods, including XTND telescopic builds. Rods carry gram or test-curve ratings, ship with quivertip sets where relevant, and RRPs sit in the 40 to 100 GBP value bracket. Sold through UK and European dealers.
What Korum is known for
Europe's volume name in general coarse and specialist tackle, and the specimen-bank sibling of Preston Innovations. On the rod side the 3K Barbel and Avon families are the entry points to river specimen fishing, the Trilogy's three interchangeable tops made it a one-rod-does-all seller, and the Limitless feeder rods cover stillwater and river work at value prices. Best known overall for chairs, luggage and terminal tackle that defined the UK specialist bank. Cross-shops against Wychwood, Free Spirit and Guru's N-Gauge Specimen range.
