About Restaffine
Restaffine is the made-to-order custom-rod brand of Fish & Heart Co., Ltd., based in Otsu, Shiga, Japan. Every rod is built to order, and the defining feature is the full-length boron blank, with boron fiber running continuously from tip to butt rather than spotted into a single section. Some blanks composite that boron with carbon and glass for specific load curves. The catalog is mostly saltwater. Offshore casting runs through BlackBlaze for heavy GT and tuna work and BlueBlaze for lighter boat casting. Boat jigging is covered by MasterBlade, SEA'S Conductor, STARGAZER, and the lighter GigantDreamer, while ZEUS is the Blade Game series built for sawara and Spanish mackerel. Squid fishing splits between DeepJerkee for boat eging and aori squid and Excalibur for ika-metal. Tairaba has two dedicated series, ARC-EN-CIEL and the Shakurintou. Two freshwater lines round out the range: Legendream for bass and Trickstream for yamame and char trout streams. Most jigging models are offered in both Spinning and Bait builds, and guides can be specified as titanium-frame SiC or stainless depending on the model and how hard the rod will be fished in salt. The result is a focused boron-first builder whose lineup spans deep-water jigging to small-stream trout, configured per order rather than sold as a fixed shelf product.
What Restaffine is known for
Full-length boron blanks, with the boron fiber carried the entire length of the rod instead of inserted into one section. The core of the catalog is offshore jigging and GT/tuna casting, where boron's resistance to deformation under deep bends does real work. Breadth is part of the identity: the same builder covers deep-water jigging for ALFONSINO kinme down to the Trickstream trout rods for yamame and char. Most models offer both Spinning and Bait builds plus a choice of titanium-SiC or stainless guides. Restaffine cross-shops against other JDM boron specialists such as Fishman, and against dedicated jigging-rod makers for anglers who want a boron blank built to order rather than a stock graphite rod.
