About Dranckrazy
Dranckrazy is a Japanese tackle brand formed in 1997 from the merger of two angling crews: Real Crazy Anglers of Kobe, led by Junya Ueda, and the Yoidore group of Ise. The name splices drank and crazy, and Ueda remains the brand's representative and product developer. Based in Ise, Mie Prefecture, the company makes lures, rods, apparel and accessories, and runs the Bounty Whale charter boat out of Kobe for rockfish casting.
The rod catalog splits into two temperaments. The bass side is the INFINITY family, built in generations: the original INFINITY (INSANIA, SUPERACUTE, THERION), the INFINITY WORKS technique line (SOULFLY, GANRYU, HEARSE, BOURDON, CONSUMMATE), the 2023 INFINITY BEYOND tier, and the current INFINITY BLACK flagships such as the PANTHER super-versatile. The DEODATE pair covers bait-finesse-era light casting. The travel side is BLACK SERPENT: multi-piece rods sized for suitcases and rated for monster fish, from the original TR trio through the GD generation (BONFIRE to CODEON, rated to 150 g on PE 6) to the five-piece BLACK SERPENT THE WORLD with lure ceilings up to 280 g. A long-running collaboration with Kentaro Ogawa of TULALA adds the Gargoyle and Indie casting rods and the G69 and G88 Glissando spinning rods. Distribution is Japan-only through the brand's own shop and JDM dealers.
What Dranckrazy is known for
Dranckrazy is known for Junya Ueda's bass rods and for travel rods that take big-bait power on a plane. The INFINITY BLACK versatiles (PANTHER, UNCHAIN) headline the bass side above the WORKS technique models like the SOULFLY short heavy and HEARSE solid-tip bait finesse; BLACK SERPENT THE WORLD packs 170-280 g lure ceilings into 50 cm five-piece kits for barramundi, arapaima and toman expeditions. The TULALA collaborations (Gargoyle big-bait rods, G88 shore spinning) carry a cult following. In this catalog it cross-shops against Deps, Gan Craft and Fishman.
