About Tulala
Tulala is a boutique Japanese rod brand founded in 2015 under the tagline "Ford every stream." The company builds high-end custom rods with an emphasis on artistic design, unconventional blank geometries, and collaborations with other specialist Japanese brands and rod builders. Tulala positions its products as handcrafted tools for anglers who treat fishing as a craft rather than a sport, with each series name drawn from music, geography, or literary references.
The catalog divides into two major camps: the saltwater heavy-lure Monstruo family (G, Concept Destruction, W.Record, L-Tex) for big-game bass, GT, and offshore applications; and the freshwater and light-saltwater side covering stream trout (Kawasemi, Clerus, Sorcier), area trout (Truite Harmonix), bass (Glissando, BassAmp, Cuervo), and light sea bass (Oikaze, BrkFree). Sub-brands Harmonix, Flightex, Panari, Masso, BrkFree, and others operate under the Tulala umbrella with their own naming conventions and target markets.
What Tulala is known for
The Monstruo baitcasting series for big-game topwater and swimjig work, the Harmonix high-end shore casting line, the Kawasemi Rhapsody-style stream trout rods (Clerus, Sorcier), and the Portamento travel rod family with sub-60cm folded lengths.
