The Falcon MARSH is a saltwater inshore baitcasting and spinning series designed specifically for redfish tournament fishing in coastal marsh, bay, and estuary environments. The series targets redfish (red drum) as the primary species, with secondary application to speckled trout, snook, and similar inshore coastal gamefish. Designed for anglers who wade or pole skiffs through shallow grassy environments. All casting models use Nickel-Titanium Recoil guides, memory-metal frames that flex with the blank and snap back, reducing weight and providing extreme corrosion resistance critical in brackish/saltwater conditions.
Spinning models also use Recoil technology. 100% graphite blank construction. Fuji reel seats on casting models for secure low-profile reel seating. Power levels run MH and H throughout, with Medium-Fast to Fast actions, reflecting the need to move fish quickly from grass mats, oyster bars, and tight cover. A $280 price point for the FMC-5-172 positions this as a premium-tier inshore casting series. Seven models: five casting (FMC) and two spinning (FMS). Casting covers 6'7"–7'4" in MH to H power across MF and F actions.
The three H/Fast casting models (FMC-6-1610, FMC-6-174, FMC-7-173) are for heavier applications requiring aggressive hooksets. Spinning models sit at 7'–7'3" in MH with Medium action for lighter inshore presentations. Note: FMC-7-173 lists lure range as 1/2–1/2oz in the source data, which appears to be a data error, likely 1/2–1oz based on the H/F spec.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Compact heavy/fast model for power fishing in tight quarters, punching under overhanging vegetation, working dense grass mats, or casting to shallow oyster bars where immediate hookset and fish control are essential.
The primary spinning option, 7'/MH/Medium action for lighter inshore presentations where spinning tackle is preferred: lighter soft plastics, weedless rigs, or situations requiring longer casts with lighter terminal gear.
The all-around redfish casting model per user reviews. At 7'2"/MH/MF it balances sensitivity for subtle bites with backbone for clean hooksets, spanning 1/8–3/4oz for the broadest lure versatility in the series. Primary tournament angler go-to.
