The Huerco VR (Versatile Rod) series is a compact telescopic lineup made for anglers who prioritize portability, camping, cycling, backpacking, boating. Target technique is general light lure and bait work across freshwater and light inshore contexts instead of any single species or method. The collapsed lengths of 44–46 cm make these legitimately packable, fitting in a day bag or under a bicycle seat.

Blanks are multi-piece telescopic construction with a glass solid tip section shared across all three models. The glass tip is deliberately chosen for durability and forgiveness, it resists the tip fractures common to carbon solid tips when users unfamiliar with light gear apply heavy pressure. Taper is Regular Fast on all three. Lure range scales with model: up to 15 g on the 180, up to 45 g on the 240.

The lineup consists of three spinning models at 6' (VR180-10, 6 pieces), 7' (VR210-20, 7 pieces), and 8' (VR240-30, 8 pieces). All are spinning only. The 240-30 adds meaningful casting range and is specifically recommended by Huerco for metal jigs and vibration lures, the only model in the series capable of heavier lure work.
