Walleye-specific series from Lamiglas introduced in 2022, based on jigging, blade fishing, and light plugging for Great Lakes and Midwest river walleye. The name references Detroit River walleye fishing, a premier jigging venue. The series covers the core walleye jig presentation range with IM7 graphite blanks tuned for sensitivity to the subtle take that walleye are known for, combined with backbone for deeper-water jigging where blank deflection can lose bites.
The power ratings and lengths are calibrated to walleye hardware specifically. IM7 graphite blanks are one modulus step above typical IM6 construction, providing a lighter, more sensitive blank at equivalent power. The series launched with predominantly MH models (8–15 lb, 1/4–1 oz), and in 2025 added two ML models (6'6" and 7') at 4–10 lb for finesse walleye techniques. Actions are manufacturer page describes extra-fast actions for the MH models, consistent with jig fishing where instant tip loading and fast hookset timing are standard.
Eight models: one casting (5'6" MH), seven spinning (5'6"–7'). Six of eight are MH power; two ML models cover finesse. Lengths tightest at 5'6"–7', appropriate for boat jigging and river fishing. The lone casting model (LD56MHC) at 5'6" is sized for vertical jigging in rivers or structure.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Only casting model in the series; short 5'6" length and MH power makes this a precise vertical jigging tool for deep structure or current, outside the casting-distance option lane.
2025 addition; ML at 4–10 lb addresses finesse walleye techniques, small jigs, drop shot, or light blade presentations on pressured or clear-water fish.
Longest MH model; 7' provides extra reach for longer drifts or casting to current breaks, standard walleye jig work at the upper length in the series.
