The 2027 Triumph is St. Croix's full redesign of its entry-tier freshwater series, replacing the 2021-generation TSR/TCR models with 37 rods carrying the 27TRS (spinning) and 27TRC (casting) codes. Blanks are SCII carbon with FRS reinforcement; every two-piece model adds ART ferrule reinforcement and St. Croix's Slim Ferrule Design. Guides are stainless frames with aluminum-oxide rings, and the handles are newly contoured natural cork. Pricing runs $115 to $145.
The spinning side covers 5'0" ultralight through 7'6" medium-heavy in one- and two-piece builds, with line ratings from 2-6 lb up to 8-17 lb and lures from 1/32 oz to 3/4 oz. The eight casting rods sit at 6'6" and 7'0" in medium and medium-heavy, rated 10-17 or 10-20 lb and 1/4 to 1 oz. This is the general-purpose bass, walleye, panfish and trout ladder; the 2021 rods remain listed under Triumph.
