The Cape Cod Special Graphite Popping series is a two-model offshore spinning lineup for big tuna and GT, offered in 7'6" and 8'0" two-piece builds. The 7'6" is rated 100 to 180 g over 50 to 80 lb line, and the 8'0" steps up to 100 to 200 g over 50 to 100 lb, placing both in the heavy popping class for large surface lures and serious drag pressure. The blank is a high-strength graphite and nano carbon composite, a construction paired with a stiffer, more responsive action than the all-nano Popping rods. That stiffer profile gives faster tip recovery and longer casting distance, making this the choice for anglers who prefer to load and unload the rod quickly when throwing poppers and stickbaits at range. It is positioned directly against the Cape Cod Special Nano Popping series, which shares the same lengths and lure and line ratings but bends deeper and recovers slower under load. The Graphite pair runs slightly below the Nano models in price. The series is engineered around stopping 100 to 200-plus lb bluefin tuna and battling large GT, the spec window it is built for.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
