Kayaker Special is a two-model series engineered specifically for kayak fishing, with a shorter handle so the butt section stays clear when fighting fish from a seated position and the rod is easier to maneuver in tight space. Both models are 6'8" one-piece, Medium Heavy, rated 2 to 6 oz lure and 15 to 30 lb line: the casting C-681MH and the spinning S-681MH. Construction is nano carbon, with a crisp, responsive feel, a sensitive tip for subtle bites, and a strong backbone. The compact one-piece length and MH power suit inshore and nearshore work from a kayak where leverage and clearance matter more than long-cast reach. The series shares its 6'8" MH platform and lure/line ratings with the Charter Special boat rods, differentiated by the kayak-specific shorter handle.
