SWG Specimen

SPECIMEN is Breaden's shore eging line under the SWG (Sea Water Game) family, built around squid detection. The concept is a rod that transmits underwater information continuously: the touch of a squid on the egi, bottom composition, structure, current flow, and the approach of a squid stalking the lure. Breaden pairs the blank with its EGIMARU egi and treats the whole system as a high-sensitivity sensing platform.

The lineup runs three models, all 2-piece and all rated for 3.5 egi with PE 0.4 to 0.8. SPECIMEN76tiptop V2.5 is a 7'6" 106 g rod controlled through carbon prepreg layup and mandrel taper for a natural bent curve, a stiff belly-to-butt for lifting, and use both from shore and on-board for casting and vertical work, extending beyond eging into light fish games such as Metalmaru. SPECIMEN86tiptopthree V2.4 is the 8'6" 141 g flagship, reworked in detail for finer bite detection than high-modulus carbon or a soft tip alone can deliver. SPECIMEN88swingtop V2.4 is an 8'8" 131 g long rod that inherits the swingtop sensitivity and operability while a Fuji TORZITE guide layout keeps line release clean, so it handles like an 8'3" to 8'6" rod despite the length.

Guides are titanium-frame TORZITE on the 76 and 88 and titanium-frame SiC on the 86. All three use a Fuji-VSS grip-integrated spinning seat, a separate grip, and a Bugatti Blue blank with a white printed butt section.
