DL40 is Cadence's dedicated carp range, a three-model family of 12ft rods developed with UK big-carp angler Dave Lane. The three test curves, 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb, cover the standard modern carp-fishing spread: the 3lb as the all-rounder and fish-playing rod, the 3.25lb as the range middle for larger waters, and the 3.5lb for long casts with heavy leads and solid PVA work. All three share the same cosmetics and are priced identically, so the choice is purely about the work the rod has to do.
As across the Cadence catalogue the rods are sold direct with no dealer margin, positioning them against mid-tier offerings from the mainstream carp brands.
