AIR is the high-end tier of the Emeraldas shore lineup, below the flagship Stoist and above MX and X, and its argument is weight. Sixteen two-piece models run 7'5" to 8'9" and 70 to 93 g, with the 86M-K at 86 g for an 8'6" rod. That matters because eging is repetitive: an angler working an egi through a session makes thousands of two-stroke and three-stroke jerks, and blank mass is felt on every one of them. Egi ratings use the Japanese 号 scale, where one 号 is about 3 cm of egi body, and the lineup spans 1.5号 to 4.5号, from small autumn squid on a 45 mm egi through 4.5号 for large spring fish. Line ratings run PE 0.3 to 1.2. Blanks are SVF Nanoplus with X45 bias carbon against twist and V-Joint alpha ferrules, hung with AGS carbon-frame guides and built on a downlocking Air Sensor Seat Slim Fit that leaves the index finger in contact with the blank. Models coded -S carry Mega Top carbon solid tips, which bend further under a light take and are the choice when squid are picking the egi rather than eating it; the remaining models use tubular tips for a harder jerk. The 75UL-S-K at 70 g and PE 0.3 to 0.6 is the finesse end, the 86MH-K at 93 g the heavy end.
