Gekkabijin AIR Ajing Boat

The AIR-grade entry into boat ajing, known in Japan as bachikon, short for vertical contact. Shore ajing is a casting game with a bare 0.4 to 3 g jighead. Boat ajing is not: the boat sits over deep water or moving tide, the angler drops straight down, and the rig carries a sinker on a branch line with the jighead in line below it so the bite travels up the leader instead of through the lead. That is why these rods are rated by sinker load rather than lure weight, the 66UL-S to a maximum of 70 g and the 69L-S and 68LB-SMT to 100 g, on PE 0.15 to 0.6. Lengths stay short at 1.98 m to 2.06 m because a boat deck rewards a rod you can work vertically at arm's length, and weights run 57 to 72 g. Tip technology is the point of the series. The two spinning models use MEGA TOP R, a high-modulus carbon solid built with Toray T1100G fibre, while the 68LB-SMT baitcast model uses SMT, a super-elastic titanium alloy tip that amplifies vibration and reads bites in deep water and split currents that carbon cannot. Guides are AGS carbon frames, the blank uses SVF carbon with X45, and the seat is an Air Sensor slim-fit design.
