Dranckrazy's longest-running outside project is with TULALA, the Japanese travel and monster-fish rod maker, pairing Junya Ueda with TULALA's Kentaro Ogawa (Ogaken). The casting side builds on TULALA's supple El Horizonte blanks: GARGOYLE 63-N02 is a short heavy big-bait rod that handles 2 oz baits most nimbly and reaches 4 oz on MAX PE 5, with a detachable grip for transport; GARGOYLE 69H-N stretches the same lineage to 6'9" as a strong reeling special; and Indie 610-N02 reworks a Glissando trout blank into a taut slow-taper power bait-finesse rod for 5-20 g. The 63 and Indie were renewed in September 2022 (the N02 designation).
The spinning pair runs TULALA's Glissando blanks with straw-setting PE-dedicated guide trains: G69, a 6'9" two-piece fresh-to-salt versatile, and G88, the G Double Infinity, an 8'8" three-piece shore rod for big seabass, yellowtail and surf flatfish that sold out on its 2021 launch. Prices run ¥49,830 to ¥61,600.
