Acolyte is Drennan's flagship match range and the family the company's reputation for rods largely rests on. The blanks are unusually slim, high-modulus carbon designed to sit up in the hand and stay light through a long session; the 13ft Ultra float rod weighs 4.75oz. The float side runs from an 11ft Ultra to a 17ft model, split into Ultra builds for fine lines from about 2.5lb, Plus builds as the all-round choice, Specimen Float models with more backbone, plus Carp Waggler and Commercial Pellet Waggler rods for commercial fisheries.
The feeder side covers 9ft to 14ft: Ultra and Plus feeders for canals and commercials, Commercial Feeder and F1-Silvers models tuned to small fish on soft hooklengths, a 13ft Medium Feeder for natural venues, Bait Up rods for laying down feed, and the Distance Feeder family, developed over two years with five-time world champion Alan Scotthorne and Drennan's international match team, rated to cast feeders up to 100g and beyond towards the 100-metre mark. Feeder models ship with interchangeable push-in quivertips rated in ounces, and the Distance builds take Drennan's enlarged-guide Distance Tips so shock-leader knots run clean.
