Red Range is the entry level of Drennan's rod catalogue, built for commercial-fishery coarse fishing where the fish run hard but the tackle needs to stay simple and affordable. The family divides into feeder and float sides. On the feeder side sit Carp Method rods from 9ft to 11ft, Medium Feeders at 10ft and 11ft, an 8ft Mini Method for snug swims and small commercials, and a 10ft 2.75lb carp rod at the heavy end. The float side offers Float Fish models from 9ft to 13ft, Carp Float rods at 10ft and 11ft, and a three-piece 12ft X3 Carp rod.

Actions are deliberately forgiving, matched to 3-6lb lines on the float rods and up to 10lb on the method models, with glass quivertips supplied on the feeder side for clear bite registration. It is the range Drennan points beginners and improvers at before they move up to Vertex or Acolyte.
