EOS X is Fox's entry-level carp family and the broadest of its rod ranges in build formats. The core is a set of two-piece rods from 10ft to 13ft at 3lb to 3.5lb test curve, joined by 5.5lb spod and marker models at 12ft and 13ft for baiting and feature-finding work. Around that core Fox builds formats the premium tiers do not get: telescopic versions at 10ft to 13ft that collapse guides-and-all for transport, a three-piece 12ft 3lb, and adjustable Traveller models that fish at anything from 8ft to 10ft for stalking, snag pits and travel.
All EOS X rods wear full shrink-wrap handles. Prices run from £49.99 for the 10ft models to £74.99 for the 13ft telescopic and Traveller builds, making the family the standard recommendation for a first carp setup or a set of backup rods.
