Horizon X3-S is the value tier of Fox's Horizon carp ladder, built on high-modulus carbon with a lightweight blank construction pitched at all-round performance. The range covers 10ft, 12ft and 13ft lengths from 3lb to 4lb test curve, the everyday spread of UK carp fishing, with the 4lb models added for long-range and heavy-lead work.
Unusually for a modern carp range, several X3-S models are offered in a choice of handle: standard shrink-wrap or full cork at a £10 premium, a nod to the traditional end of the market. Prices run £89.99 to £139.99, which keeps the family in reach as a step up from EOS X without entering X4-S money.
