The HFX is Halo's $164.99 line and its widest lineup at 19 rods. The blanks are Japanese Toray graphite, offered in casting and spinning models from 6'10" to 7'11" in Medium to Extra Heavy power.
The HFX carries several Halo-specific features. The 4Finger reel seat uses an exposed-blank design so the hand feels bait contact directly. The Align guide system lines the guides up from handle to tip, using stainless guides with zirconia inserts that handle braid and stay sensitive with fluorocarbon. Sensi-Touch cork-composite rings are integrated into the EVA handle to transmit more feel than plain foam. The line is backed by a five-year limited warranty.
The breadth of the lineup is the point. Casting models cover Medium through Extra Heavy in Fast, Moderate, Slow, and Extra Fast actions, so the series holds dedicated cranking, jig, worm, and heavy-cover rods. Spinning models run 7' to 7'6" in Medium Light and Medium for finesse and light-line work.
