The KS II Elite is Halo's $179.99 line and the successor to the original Kryptonite series, rebuilt with updated components. The blanks are Japanese Nano carbon fiber, chosen for a light, balanced feel, and the series was developed and tested by Halo's pro staff.
Components are the tier's differentiator: stainless-steel guides with zirconia inserts for line management, a two-finger exposed reel seat for direct blank contact, and AAA-grade cork grips. The set targets the blend of sensitivity and durability expected at the price.
The nine models split into six casting and three spinning rods. Casting runs 6'10" Medium through 7'9" Extra Heavy, with line ratings from 6-12 lb up to 30-60 lb and lures from 1/16 oz to 1 1/2 oz, so the range spans finesse casting through flipping and heavy cover. Spinning covers 6'10" to 7'4" in Medium and Medium Heavy for lighter presentations. The consistent zirconia-insert guides and cork grips across the line keep the feel uniform whether the angler is throwing finesse baits or working heavier cover.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 9 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
