The XD III Pro is Halo's $119.99 tournament-blank line. The rods use EVA handles with Sensi-Touch rings for grip and vibration transfer, stainless-steel guides with zirconia inserts, and a semi-exposed reel seat.
The line sits between the value graphite tiers and the carbon-fiber HFX and KS II Elite above it, aimed at anglers who want the guide and reel-seat package of the higher rods at a lower price. Halo positions it for both tournament and weekend use.
The nine models split into seven casting and two spinning rods. Casting runs 7' to 7'6" from Medium through Extra Heavy, with line ratings from 8-15 lb up to 15-30 lb and lures from 1/8 oz to 1 1/2 oz, covering general casting through heavy jigs and big baits. The two spinning rods are both 7', in Medium and Medium Heavy, for lighter and finesse presentations. The semi-exposed reel seat splits the difference between a fully exposed blank and a covered seat, aiming for comfort without losing the bite feel the Sensi-Touch rings add through the grip.
