Archery II

The Archery II is Hearty Rise's interline boat squid rod, built as a single 5.29 m five-piece model that closes to 145 cm. Because the line runs inside the blank there are no external guides to tangle in the dark or in wind, and the fine tip is tuned to register weak squid touches so light contacts can be read and struck. The blank blends glass fiber with carbon at a 90 percent carbon ratio for a stiff, resilient body rated for 300-400 go sinkers, and the finished rod weighs 1447 g.

Fittings are set up for rail fishing from a boat: a hard EVA foregrip with laser-etched non-slip texturing, a large heavy-duty reel seat, and a one-piece knurled aluminum rear grip that sits securely in a boat-rod holder without rolling. The blank wears a bright silver finish with a blue-violet chameleon coat. It is a specialized tool for night-boat swordtip and neritic squid work with heavy sinker rigs.
