The Black Diamond II rebuilds the light-jigging series on the NET-V III blank structure with DOUBLE HELIX-X cross-wrapped carbon tape reinforcement, targeting a slimmer, smoother, stronger blank. Nine models cover jig classes from 150 to 650 g: paired casting and spinning versions at 150, 250, and 350 g, casting-only 450 and 650 g heavy models, and a two-piece 6 ft 10 in trigger version in the 250 class. Lengths run 1.74 to 1.89 m on the core one-piece models, line ratings step from PE 2.5 to PE 5, and measured drag figures run 9, 11, and 13 kg at 90 degrees up the range. Rod weights stay between about 160 and 185 g at 99 percent carbon.
The stiffer, higher-rebound blank is built for fast-tempo jig work with less fatigue over a day of cranking, while the same rebound absorbs deep bends under heavy drag when a fish is on. It is the flagship mechanical-jigging line of the brand, aimed at dedicated jig anglers.
