The DYU BEAT is designed for mandarin fish, the ambush predator of Chinese rivers and reservoirs. Seven two-piece models around 2.19 m cover two spinning and five baitcast configurations, with blanks rolled from imported Toray carbon using the NET-V III process at 99 percent carbon. Most models run extra-fast actions for jighead, Texas, Carolina, and neko-style bottom rigs, where the stiff blank telegraphs contact and drives hooks through a mandarin's hard mouth on the strike; the LR and MLR versions run regular tapers suited to minnows, shads, and small spinners on PE with a fluorocarbon leader.
Hardware is full Fuji: reel seats, K-frame guide trains, and micro guides on all but two models. The deliberately longer casts reach rocky lies from the bank and steepen the line angle over boulders, cutting snags while working rigs from about 4 to 14 g with drag-hop-swim retrieves. Rod weights stay between 103 and 124 g on the listed models.
