FEV Squider is a handheld boat squid series designed for the dorobo (bait-thief) style of swordtip squid fishing. The blanks are high-density 98 percent carbon with an action the maker tuned to keep hooked squid pinned, paired with a solid carbon tip section sensitive enough to register a touch from the squid's feelers. The casting-grip models carry rotating guides to stop line wrap while working the rig, and the whole series is kept light so lifting and jigging the rod through a night stays easy.
The four models run from the spinning SRS-652M at 1.96 m (110 g, PE 0.5-1.0, sinkers 10-30 go) through three casting builds: the SRC-652MH (10-40 go), the 2.26 m SRC-752H (15-50 go), and the 2.31 m SRC-772XH (PE 1.0-3.0, sinkers 20-60 go). The two longest models are marked NEW in the current catalog, extending the series into heavier sinker classes.
