FEV Tairaba MAN is a two-model tairaba series designed around red seabream, balancing sensitivity for the fall-and-retrieve game with the strength to absorb the species' sudden surging runs. The white-painted tip stays readable against choppy water or low light, so small taps show by eye before they load the blank. Guides are K-frame anti-tangle designs in a rotating configuration that cuts line twist and reduces tangles on the drop, and the blank carries full-length cross-wrap reinforcement for torsional and compressive strength. A one-and-a-half-piece joint keeps the bend profile intact while shortening the packed rod, and the handle pairs an ergonomic reel seat with high-density EVA.
The two casting-style models are the TRMC-662M and TRMC-662MH, both 1.97 m two-piece builds in 98 percent carbon at 145 g and 155 g, rated for tairaba heads to 200 g on PE 2.0 and 300 g on PE 3.0 respectively. The head ratings reach into deep-water and strong-current tairaba territory.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
