HOT Ocean II (熱海 II) is a deep-sea boat rod built on a full solid glass-fiber blank. The solid construction is chosen to beat heavy tide: it delivers the sustained toughness and raw lifting power needed to work very heavy sinkers in deep water and to stay in control of large bottom fish. The handle section is metal, which Hearty Rise uses to shift the balance point and improve the in-hand weight distribution of what is necessarily a heavy rod, and the series is pitched at genuinely big deep-water quarry.
Four one-piece models cover the line, all rated for 250-500 gou sinker loads: 2.08 m and 2.28 m base versions plus matching R variants at 2.11 m and 2.31 m fitted with roller guides for heavy braid under load. Rod weights run 1132 g to 1263 g, in keeping with the solid glass build. This is specialist gear for deep-water bottom fishing from a boat, not a general-purpose boat rod.
