Shiga ("purple fang") is a boat tenya rod built for hairtail. The solid tip is the core of the design: tenya fishing for hairtail depends on reading small pecks before the strike, and the tip is specified for exactly that, registering faint bites clearly. The blank uses NET-V III construction with SNVC ultra-high-density carbon at 99 percent carbon, giving a strong but workable action, and the one-and-a-half-piece butt-joint layout shortens the packed length without interrupting the bend.
Two overhead models share a 2.06 m length and a 30-60 go sinker rating: SGC-692M at 132 g with PE max 1.0, and SGC-692MH at 137 g with PE max 1.5. The pairing covers standard and slightly heavier tenya weights for night and deep-water hairtail trips. Shiga II extends the same concept with more power classes.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
