Shiga II

Shiga II carries the hairtail tenya concept of the original Shiga into a wider range. The redesigned solid tip is specified to show both lifting and dropping bite signals clearly, the two directions a tenya bite can take, so the angler can time the sweep on either. The blank keeps NET-V III construction with SNVC ultra-high-density carbon at 99 percent carbon, and the layout moves to a conventional two-piece joint for easier transport.

Six models at 2.05 m cover two spinning-format rods (SG2S-692MH and H) and four overhead rods (SG2C-692MH through HHH), all rated for 30-60 go tenya sinkers. Sampled line ratings run PE max 1.2 on the MH rods and PE max 1.5 on the H versions, at 140-178 g rod weight. The added HH and HHH powers extend the series toward heavier tenya and stronger current than the first-generation Shiga covered.
