Akashio ("red tide") is an entry-level small telescopic multi-purpose rod pitched at anglers starting out in iso and general saltwater float fishing. The maker's copy stresses a lightweight blank with a slim, sensitive tip section, a brightly painted body, and a stable bend, positioning it as a portable all-round pack rod rather than a specialist tool.

The range covers three models, all 5-piece blanks that fish at 3.15 or 3.6 m and close to 94 cm. Power steps run 3, 4, and 5 (Taiwan hardness numbering), with weights of 164, 195, and 215 g respectively at the 3.6 m setting, on 99 percent carbon construction. The format suits breakwater and rock float rigs, light bait work, and travel duty where one compact rod has to cover mixed inshore fishing.
