TOYO Ocean Hunter

The TOYO Ocean Hunter is a boat-rod series developed for mid-depth and shallower coastal grounds. Hearty Rise builds glass fiber into the blank specifically for its fish-taming quality: the layup pairs a supple, forgiving tip with a strong lower blank, a combination the maker cites as the target action for cushioning surges from hooked fish rather than pulling hooks. The rods are conventional-style two-piece builds.

Four models cover two power classes and two lengths. The 150-class rods handle No. 120-150 sinkers in 2.1 m (305 g) and 2.4 m (320 g); the 200-class rods take No. 150-200 sinkers in 2.1 m (316 g) and 2.4 m (345 g). Listed blank content is 95 percent carbon with the glass fiber worked into the construction. It is a straightforward bottom-fishing tool for boat anglers running moderate to heavy sinker weights.
