The design brief is light weight and a slim profile with high sensitivity; the tapered blank draws into a smooth, continuous curve under load. Cosmetics follow the name: a black-grey, shadow-like finish. Hearty Rise emphasizes the light in-hand feel and nimble control, which reduce arm fatigue over a long day of stream fishing, the pole's intended use.

Four lengths are offered: 3.6 m (7 sections, 47 g), 4.5 m (9 sections, 75 g), 5.4 m (11 sections, 105 g), and 6.3 m (13 sections, 142 g). All close to 58 cm for transport and use 98 percent carbon blanks. The H designation marks this as the hard-action version, giving quicker control of fish in current than a softer stream taper.
