The Travel Hunter EX is Hearty Rise's multi-piece travel lure series, built for anglers who fly with their rods. The blanks use NET-V III structural technology woven with SNVC high-density reinforced carbon (99 percent), and the maker's stated benchmark is that the five-piece construction should be undetectable in use: smooth through the joints, with the elasticity, toughness, and handling of a conventional two-piece.
Three spinning models share a 2.6 m length and a 57 cm closed length. The 865ML (120 g) casts to 20 g on PE 0.4-1.0, the 865M (124 g) to 25 g on PE 0.5-1.2, and the 865MH (132 g) to 30 g on PE 0.6-1.5. Each also carries an egi rating, from 2.0-3.5 up to 3.0-4.5, so the series covers shore lure work and eging on the same trip, which is the point of a rod meant to go anywhere.
