The Trout Guider is an entry-priced ultralight trout spinning series pitched as a first lure setup for anglers of any age. The blank is a very slim 99 percent carbon build that Hearty Rise describes as holding high elasticity in reserve, and the handle is a painted wood grip. The design brief is direct feel: the material is chosen to transmit every small signal through the cast, the retrieve, the take, and the fight.
Two super-ultralight (SUL) spinning models are offered, both two-piece and both rated for 1.5-3 g lures on 3-4 lb line: the 56SUL at 1.64 m and 77 g, and the 66SUL at 1.99 m and 84 g. Those ratings put it squarely in area-trout and small-stream spoon and micro-plug work, where sub-3 g lures and light nylon are the standard.
