The Valley Hunter II 10th Limited marks ten years of the Valley Hunter series, which Hearty Rise traces from the travel-friendly first generation through the second generation's all-around rebuild. For the anniversary run the carbon cloth is upgraded from the traditional material to a layup combining strength and elasticity, so the blank takes high tensile and impact loads while handling the sudden surges and varied rigs the series is fished with. The guide train and reel seat are also revised for improved control and sensitivity.
Three four-piece travel models are offered on 99 percent carbon blanks, all in the MF-R action family: the spinning VH2S-684L-10L (2.03 m, 94 g, 2-10 g, 3-8 lb), the spinning VH2S-714ML-10L (2.17 m, 111 g, 3-16 g, 4-12 lb), and the casting VH2C-684ML-10L (2.03 m, 110 g, 3-16 g, 4-12 lb). Closed lengths run 55-58 cm.
