Air

The Air series is iRod's lightest lineup, built on 40-ton graphite blanks reinforced with WXW Wide X-Wrapping, a structural cross-strip carbon-cloth wrap iRod uses to stiffen the blank and increase responsiveness. The rods carry Fuji Semi-Micro guides with Alconite inserts, Fuji reel seats and EVA grips. The casting models cover a full power range. The 6'9" and 7' Medium and Medium Heavy rods (IRA692C through IRA703C) handle dropshot, senkos, Texas rigs, jerkbaits and light topwater, with the lightest model weighing 3 oz. From there the series steps up through Heavy 7' and 7'5" sticks for jigs and Carolina rigs, an Extra Heavy 7'7" flipping rod (Bub's Signature, 1/2 to 2 oz), and two 7'10" specialty rods: Bub's Punch Rod with a revolving guide system, and the Air Bailey Swim designed by Paul Bailey for throwing large swimbaits all day at 6.4 oz. The spinning side is finesse-focused, including a 6'10" Medium Light rod designed by Kevin Hawk for wacky senkos, tubes and dropshot, and longer 7'2" Medium rods for dropshot, splitshot and small swimbaits. Line ratings span 6-10 lb on the finesse rods up to 17-30 lb on the swimbait model, and lure ranges run from 1/16 oz to 8 oz across the series.
