The Expert Custom LTD editions are short-run collector builds of the 5'1" Expert Custom blanks, sold out on release and kept on the site as a record. The 2011 model dressed the 510 UL and 510 ULX in claro walnut reel seats with decorative thread winding, metal parts, a painted butt, a cloth bag and an aluminum rod case. The 2018 model was a single rod, the EXC 510 USL, a wide-range short rod rated 1-12 lb and 1-9 g, offered with a two-tone karin burl seat or a sambar stag seat.
The specs stay in Expert Custom territory: two-piece 5'1" blanks in the same 40-ton boron-composite construction, aimed at the upstream minnow game the base models were built for. The editions exist for the furniture and the finish rather than a different action, and none are currently sold.
