The Tokyo Mahaze Limited series is Jointer's collaboration take on haze (goby) fishing, the classic late-summer canal and tidal-river pastime of urban Japan. Four telescopic pole lengths, 2.1, 2.4, 2.7, and 3.0 m, cover everything from close-in pier work to wider tide lines, priced ¥5,000 to ¥6,500.
The details are goby-specific: a round EVA grip shaped for the constant lift-and-drop cadence of mahaze fishing, an oversized butt cap that resists loss, and a 25 cm measuring scale printed directly on the blank so a keeper can be checked against the rod itself. Like the Waterside family, these are reel-less poles for simple bait rigs, sized for anglers who fish in sneakers rather than waders.
