Jeram, Malay for rapids, is Kanicen Nix's newest stream series, a 5'0" two-piece offered in two line ratings that fish very differently. The super-ultralight (SUL) version is rated 0.8-4 lb and casts 0.8-4 g on an extremely fine blank, built for anglers who want maximum sensitivity and a genuine challenge from small stream species. The light BFS version is rated 4-10 lb with a 2-10 g lure window, a more forgiving build for bait finesse anglers working spinners, micro minnows and small spoons in current. Both come in spinning and baitcasting versions, at RM229 and RM239.
The 5'0" length is the point: jungle streams are cast-under-the-canopy water, and the short blank trades distance for accuracy in tight, current-driven swims. The brand pitches it at beginners in stream fishing while keeping the SUL build interesting for experienced hands.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 4 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
