Sailang is Kanicen Nix's high-volume entry ultralight, and by the brand's own numbers one of its most successful rods: 925 units sold within a couple of months of release. It is a 6'6" two-piece on a 24-tonne blank, rated 2-6 lb and casting up to 7 g, with a moderate fast action chosen to flatter newcomers' casting and cushion light line on the strike. Components are KR Concept guides, SKSS and ACSPLS reel seats and EVA grips, at 118 g and RM199 in both spinning and baitcasting versions.
The series also produced the Sailang Special Version, a 21-piece collector run of the same rod with upgraded EVA on the butt and handle and a set of bright colourways, sold to give collectors a piece of the series. The standard Sailang remains the brand's recommended first ultralight.
